Travelling to The 2000 Guineas
By Road
If travelling to Newmarket from London, turn off from the M11 at junction 9 onto the A1304. From the East or West of Newmarket use the A14 and from the North use either the M1 or A1 before joining the A14. Signposted directions are excellent upon approaching the course. Parking facilities are numerous with spaces for over 10,000 vehicles.
By Rail
Trains depart for Newmarket from either Kings Cross or Liverpool Street Stations, via Stowmarket, Ipswich or Cambridge. On race days a bus service is provided from Cambridge Rail Station scheduled to arrive at the course before the commencement of racing. Another option is the direct train that runs from Liverpool Street to Stansted Airport, where a bus connects to the Newmarket town centre.

Run over a mile at Newmarket in early May, mainly a test of speed but the uphill finish to the Rowley mile has found many a colt wanting for stamina over the years.
